Renowned food writer, critic, author and culinary editor of the Australian Financial Review Magazine Jill Dupleix has named de’sendent in her list of Australia’s top 10 hottest restaurant openings in 2024. A fan of Chef Evan Hayter’s former winery restaurant Arimia Estate, Jill compliments the way Evan “builds high flavour into seemingly simple dishes; from the local champagne crab with brioche and caviar to bay leaf ice-cream” and references his “deep connection to regenerative farming”.
